Weekend preview – 5th/6th September
The final weekend of cricket for the 2026 season gets underway on Saturday with the ever popular Players versus Parents match. The Players side will feature several of the Cup winning U13 & U14 sides as well as Felix Lisher, Tom Hathorn, Atreya Subr & Lindsay Thompson. The Parents can call on the services of Neil McCallum, recently inducted into the Cricket Scotland Hall of Fame, along with regular players Kartic Subr, Abhi Mehta & Euan Murray all under the charge of Rahul Khadse.
On Sunday the Women’s 2nd XI bring the curtain down on proceedings at Grange Loan as they welcome Grange in the final match of the WPL 30. Skipper Sarah Beith’s team is the usual mixture of experienced players like Amelia Beattie and Ashley Robertson along with youngsters Abby Caton, Elsie Fraser & Lindsay Thompson. The Arrows will be up against it as the visitors are unbeaten and have already been crowned WPL 30 Champions for 2026.
