Pre-season action at Grange Loan

Cricket will be back at Grange Loan on Saturday 13th April, when Carlton host our old friends Benwell Hill CC from Newcastle in a pre-season friendly. The North Eastern Premier League side last visited Edinburgh in April 2015, losing out narrowly in a low scoring encounter by 39 runs.
Benwell Hill will be led at Grange Loan by a very familiar face, their Director of Cricket and Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer. His club have built a strong squad ahead of the new season, including their most recent signing Will Smith, the ex-Durham batsman.
The following weekend, the 1s, 2s and 3s are all in pre-season action, with the top two sides taking on neighbours Watsonians in a double-header at Grange Loan and Myreside on the Saturday, while the Threes will be at Grange Loan on Sunday 21st April against visitors Peebles.
