Weekend preview – 6th/7th June

The 1st XI travel to Stockbridge to take on Grange.  Ruari Macpherson (sponsored by Ace Club Golf) and Chris McBride are unavailable this week so there is a rejigged top order with Shovik Chakraborty & Arun Pillai (sponsored by Umair Mohammed Cosmetic & Sports Dentistry) elevated up the order.  Shiv Jhala is back and Charlie Buchannan Smith makes his first league appearance as the Arrows look to build on last week’s win over Watsonians.

 

The 2nd XI entertain their counterparts from Grange at GL.  Stevie Gilmour returns along with Kyle Macpherson who is available for the first time this season.  Pete Gill will be hoping to maintain his strong run of form at the top of the order after 100* & 93* in the last two weeks.

 

The 3rd XI are away to Leith FAB in ESCA Division 2.  Euan Keatinge is back in the line up and Josh Cully earns a promotion from the 4s last time out.  Chris Brennan is also available again and will look to bolster the middle order.

 

The final game on Saturday sees the 5th XI take on MDAFs 4s on the plastic at Roseburn.  Euan Murray is back at the helm in a side that is the usual mixture of youth & experience.

 

On Sunday the Women host RHC Lynx at Grange Loan in round 6 of the WPL 40.  Samantha Evans leads the young side but is able to call on the experienced Charis Scott who will make her 50th appearance for the Arrows on Sunday.  Sophie Thomas is also in line to make her Arrows debut.

 

The Women’s 2nd XI are also in action on Sunday, away to MDAFs.  Amelia Beattie will lead the side which features two mother & daughter combinations.

 

The final game on Sunday sees the 4th XI at “home” to Edinburgh South 3s on the main square at the Inch.  Basil Khan is set to make his Arrows debut following his recent move from Kirkbrae.

 

Both the Second XI’s and Women’s Second XI’s fixtures at Grange Loan will be livestreamed on the Carlton CC YouTube Channel.
