Weekend preview – 26th/27th July

The 1st XI welcome Stewart’s Melville to Grange Loan in round 13 of the EPL, in a match kindly sponsored by the Carlton Legends. The Arrows will want to back up the good home win against RHC two weeks ago and welcome back Conor Regan into the ranks. The June Player of the Month comes in for Rory Allardice in an otherwise unchanged side from last week.
The 2nd XI make the short journey to Stockbridge to take on Grange 2s in the ESCA Championship. The D’Ulisse brothers are back from holiday and the two older Foley boys are also in action. Rudy Adair is making a welcome comeback after suffering a bad hand injury at the end of June.
The 4th XI host Tranent & Preston Village 3s at Peffermill who are currently sitting top of ESCA Division 5. Samantha Evans is back from honeymoon but otherwise the side has a pretty familiar look to it with plenty of young talent on show.
The final game on Saturday sees the 5th XI travel to Meadowmill to take on Tranent & Preston Village 4s in ESCA Division 7. Regular skipper Keith Murray is in foreign climes so Rahul Khadse takes the reins. He is able to call on the services of younger son Aaradhy and Rohan Kumar Jena who impressed with the ball last week as well as a return for the father & son combo of Euan and Tom Sweet.
On Sunday the 3rd XI entertain Bass Rock at Grange Loan. Skipper Brad McKay has Tom Hathorn, Euan Keatinge and Shaun Smith all available again as well as Dougie Firth down from the 2s. The visitors from North Berwick are just one place above the 3s in ESCA Division 2 so this should be a keenly contested affair.
Both the First XI and Third XI fixtures at Grange Loan will be livestreamed on the Carlton CC YouTube Channel.
