Amit Bij

The club was shocked and saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Amit Bij.  Amit joined the club in 2012, playing 46 league games mainly for the 3rd XI.  He took 57 wickets with his cultured left arm spin and was a very handy lower order bat with over 500 runs including two 50s.  But more than that he was top bloke, competitive on the field but always with a friendly word off it.

The thoughts of everyone at Carlton are with his family at this very difficult time.

His funeral will take place at Mortonhall Crematorium on Tuesday 31st January at 10am followed by prayers & langar (lunch/snacks) at Edinburgh Hindu Mandir & Cultural Centre.
