Weekend preview – 12th/13th July

On Saturday the 1st XI entertain RHC at Grange Loan in a match sponsored by the Carlton Legends.  The visitors are just above the Arrows in the table, sitting in 3rd place. Ferg Foley is set to make his 1st team debut and Shiv Jhala & Jamie Beattie return to the side coming in for Gavin Murray, Ben Stronach & Oli Stones.

The 2nd XI make the short journey to Newfield to take on Edinburgh Accies.  There is another Foley in line for a debut as youngest son Hamish looks to run out for the 2s for the first time.  Dougie Firth & Max D’Ulisse are also available again this week and Calum Robertson earns promotion from the 3s after a good knock last week.

The 3rd XI welcome Dunfermline & Carnegie to a new home ground for the club, Loretto School.  Abbi Aitken-Drummond returns at the top of the order and Abhi Mehta moves up a team to add some experience to Brad McKay’s otherwise very youthful side.

The final game on Saturday sees the 5s travel to Arboretum to take on Holy Cross 2s.  Former Scotland man Neil McCallum dons the sky blue for the first time to play along side son Ollie and there is another father & son combination of Kartic & Atreya Subr in the ranks.

On Sunday the 4th XI will take on Gala 2s at Grange Loan.  Scott Fraser and Benji Risi are available again and Kyle Burgess comes back into the side.  New junior Rohan Kumar Jena will make his Arrows debut and Chris Kilfara will play for the 4s for the first time.

Both the First XI and Fourth XI fixtures at Grange Loan will be livestreamed on the Carlton CC YouTube Channel.
