Welcome to Carlton Cricket Club

Carlton are the current holders of the Scottish Cup. We run 6 senior league teams including a women's XI, 11 junior teams and have a thriving junior coaching programme for boys and girls. In all, more than 400 members play and watch their cricket at Grange Loan, Edinburgh - undoubtedly one of Scotland's most beautiful grounds. Senior Awards Evening

The 2017 Senior Awards evening was held at a festive Grange Loan. Top team skipper Ali Evans led the way by winning three of the top trophies to mark the club's historic Scottish Cup winning season.

Ollie Rae, Charis Scott and Lily Steindl were also winners, while youngsters Charlie Kentish and Harry Simpson went home with two trophies apiece. There was also a special presentation to mark the 1st XI playing retirement of club captain Fraser Watts.

Women miss out on the double

Ruth Willis's Carlton women's side travelled to Stirling on Saturday looking to seal the Scottish league and cup double for the second time. Sadly, they lost out in the cup final to an impressive George Watson's side, losing their 100% unbeaten record for the season in the process.

Saturday's other Scottish Cup Final - the under 18 national club championship final - was unfortunately called off early on Saturday morning following yet more heavy overnight rain in Glasgow.

4 Scottish Cup Finals & Carlton Sixes

Scottish Cup Semi Final wins for the Carlton women and the Under 18s on Sunday made it a remarkable 4 Scottish Cup Finals for the club this season. The Under 18s saw off the challenge of Poloc in Glasgow by 44 runs, while the women had a 163 run win over Watsonians.

On Saturday the inaugural club Sixes day for the Martin Flynn Trophy was a roaring success, with six teams drawn from each of the club's six senior sides playing at a sunny Grange Loan.

League season ends with a win

Carlton ended the league season with a comprehensive 8 wicket win over title chasers Arbroath, thanks to 3 wickets from Arun Pillai and an unbeaten 60 from Rory McCann.

Although the league season is finished, there's a busy weekend still to come with the Carlton 6s tournament seeing 6 teams playing for the Martin Flynn trophy at Grange Loan on Saturday 2nd September, with both the Women's and Under 18 sides in Scottish Cup action the following day.

Carlton: Scottish Cup winners!

Finally! Carlton got their name on the Scottish Cup  after many years of trying as Ali Evans' side defeated neighbours Watsonians in a pulsating match at Broughty Ferry by 36 runs. Evans was the unlikely hero with the bat, hitting a crucial 61, before the three Carlton spinners shared 8 wickets between them.

Saturday saw a vital win for the 2s and full points for the 3s, 4s and 5, with the highlight of the day (if not the weekend!) undoubtedly Fantasy Bob's fivefer.

Carlton Under 13s win the Scottish Cup

The Carlton Under 13s had a day to remember on Sunday when they saw off the challenges of both Poloc and Grange to win the Scottish Cup. There was also a win over Grange for the Under 15s, who sealed 3rd place in their competition.

Elsewhere, the 2nd XI earned a vital win at Marchmont while the 1st XI defeated Forfarshire at Grange Loan. There were also wins for the Fours, for whom Ross Armour scored a century, and Fives, although the Threes were beaten in Fife.
