Thankfully the sunshine held out for the first fixture of the WPL.

Carlton went in to field first and bowled GWC out for 89, with every bowler contributing! Molly Scott 2-14, Charis Scott 4-23, Caitlin Hutchinson 2-30 and Amy Steindl 1-22. A huge well done to Lind of GWC for her score of 32.

After a good start, the breakthrough in the second innings came with GWC getting the wicket of Molly on 10 caught Bennet bowled Tait. Annette Drummond 41*) then joined newcomer to the club Francesca Auchterlonie (29*) as they chased down the total in the 16th over.

Massive thank you to GWC for their hospitality during the day and for a great game of cricket!
