* Changes to the club's Articles of Association

Work has been taking place to update the club’s Articles of Association to reflect changes to how the club will be run in the future and to bring them up to date with the Companies Act 2006.

The directors will be seeking member approval of the new Articles at the AGM. A copy of the proposed new Articles can be found on the link below:

Over the last 18 months the club has carried out a governance review of the committee structure, which has been unchanged for many years. The proposed changes recognise how much the club has developed over recent years and the need for specific Club Committees to concentrate on running key areas of what is now a substantially sized sports club. The hope is that we can encourage new volunteers to help fill positions on these new Club Committees and to play their part in continuing to help Carlton CC meet current and future challenges and continue to flourish.

The Club Committees will be overseen by a Management Committee formed of the club directors, who will also have responsibility for developing and implementing longer term strategic plans in conjunction with Club Committees and the wider membership.

We hope this structure will help Carlton CC build on the strong position the club has built over the last twenty years or so. Further details of the new governance structure will appear on the club website over the coming months.
